Looks like I’m living Bill Murray’s Mur Hog Day over and over again, or I hear Dolly Parton’s song, “Here you come again.” It’s been another rainy day with one round before noon and another right now.
Oh, keep the temperatures from getting hot, but I think most of us will accept some heat just to dry. So what’s up?
Normally during the summer, Atlantic Ridge / Bermuda High extends westward through the SE U, S, but not this year, as the maximum is held back eastward to the east. Atlantic, with a climate dominated by the characteristics of surface and upper air. I drew a higher minimum north of Missouri with several perturbations revolving around it (circles). In addition, there is a higher minimum in East Florida. Without Bermuda High, we continue to see above normal clouds and showers. That may not change much this week, but tomorrow we could see some drying up if the next disturbance back in Texas turns more toward northern Louisiana. Just have your rain gear on hand.
